How to play

A quick reference for everything this game simulates. If you already know Catan, skip straight to the table of build costs.

Setup

Players place settlements in a snake draft: first player to last, then back again. Your second settlement pays out the resources of every hex it touches. Each settlement must be followed by a road attached to it.

Your turn

  1. Optionally play one development card before rolling.
  2. Roll two dice. Every hex with that number pays its adjacent owners.
  3. On a 7, anyone holding more than 7 cards discards half, then the roller moves the robber and steals a card.
  4. Trade with other players or with the bank at 4:1, 3:1 or 2:1 through ports.
  5. Build roads, settlements and cities, or buy a development card. Then end your turn.
